⁜ Empowering Our Youth Volunteers: The Hands of Hope

We train passionate young men & women from local communities, as Youth Volunteers & community change agents. These youths learn to manage our community AgroEcology programmes, learning & practicing sustainable agricultural methods, working directly with nature to produce healthy foods while healing the environment.

The training includes:
⁜ Sustainable Farming Practices: Learning to cultivate nutrient-dense food, manage fruits growing & operate small-scale irrigation.
⁜ Basic Community Care: Providing minimal health support, delivering food and essential supplies & assisting with simple home repairs for the neediest families.
⁜ Companionship & Mentorship: Most importantly, our youths provide vital social connection & mentorship, easing the emotional isolation often faced by orphans and single-parent households.

Sr. Apolonia Gashinjory serves as the heart & guiding hand of our orphanage, overseeing every aspect of the children’s care & development. Her spirit is uplifted by the transformative education & holistic support the centre provides to vulnerable children. She passionately believes the robust foundation being built—from our dedicated staff to the excellent facilities—is essential to empowering these children to become the future leaders of their communities & country.

Sister Apolonia is particularly enthusiastic about the AgroEcology Programme, recognising its dual blessing: it not only provides sustainable sustenance for the centre but also reaches out to numerous neediest families in the surrounding area, fostering community resilience. Her work is guided by the unwavering principle that every child deserves a chance to flourish. Her Guiding Scripture: "Do not neglect to do good & share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God." - Hebrews 13:16

As a child orphan who was himself tenderly helped & raised within the care here at Angel’s Home Orphanage, his perspective is both deeply personal & highly inspiring. He extends his deepest congratulations & gratitude to every donor, supporter & volunteer. His spirit of sacrifice & unwavering love provides hope & tangible support for all of us here!

Innocent is truly a very powerful testament to the fact that when  local communities do actually unite, together we can offer a bright future for many orphaned children & abandoned members of society. He is truly happy for this good spirit of generosity & the sacrificial work done by our supporters, knowing firsthand that their help creates the foundation for a better tomorrow for others. His dedicated service on the board ensures the experiences of the children remain at the very centre of the organisation's decisions

The success of our sustainability model rests largely on the passionate dedication of our team members, especially Lilian Bahati. She serves as the Assistant Project Programmer & Technician, but her true role is that of our lead AgroEcology Educator.

Qualified in Sustainable Agriculture, she understands firsthand the challenges of poverty & unemployment facing local youth & the vital need for food security.  She transforms the land into an open-air classroom, teaching the future generation not just how to farm, but how to manage an entire ecosystem—creating continuous, environmentally friendly food sources for our vulnerable children.

Her Motto:  "The soil doesn't lie. What you give to it, it will return to you and the children tenfold. Our future is rooted right here."

A vital force behind our organisation's strategic vision & implementation. Stephan’s partnership with the ministry work done is rooted in a profound conviction: that effective, sustainable aid is achieved through empowered local communities.

Since the earliest days of LHCC, he has relentlessly sacrificed his personal time, strategic financial resources & professional expertise to transform a heartfelt idea into a fully operational, registered organisation. As an initiator of the model, Stephan is deeply convinced that the AgroEcology project is the non-negotiable key to long-term success. His efforts have ensured the initial seed funding, the establishment of robust organisational structures & the formulation of the program blueprints that guide our youth training.

Love & Hope Community Continual (LHCC) was founded on a singular, heartbreaking encounter that galvanised Sr. Clevina Kalikwera Albert, FSSB, into action.

One scorching afternoon, Sr. Clevina was at a village clinic when a woman brought in a little boy, no older than six. The Boy was a recent orphan, silent & skeletal. His mother had just passed & he had been wandering for three days, starving & too weak to beg. He was found huddled near market bins, trying to scrape grains of food from the dirt. Holding the boy, Sister Clevina felt the tragic indifference of circumstance that was quietly stealing the life of an innocent child. This was not a death from illness, but from loneliness  hunger.

A Boy’s silent suffering became her definitive call. It was a searing realisation that millions of children were unseen & unprotected. In that moment, Sr. Clevina vowed to create a sanctuary—a continuous source of support—where every child would find love & hope. “No child should ever feel the pain of a hungry stomach or a lonely heart. Let us work together to give them the chance to dream.” This promise became the foundation of LHCC.
